Day 7: Window Treatments: Roman Shades

Day 7 of 365 Days of a Happy Home! Are your windows naked? Are they in need of some covering up? Roman shades are a great option. They can be dressed up or they can look beautiful in their simplicity. Check out these ideas. Would you use them instead of drapes?

These are just a few of the options for window shades. I must say that some are rather dated! I haven’t used the “gathered balloon” style in about a decade! My go to styles are the “plain”, “relaxed” and “banded”.

The decorative fabric in these roman shades really makes a statement. It brings all the blues in the room together.

The decorative fabric in these outside mount roman shades brings the blues in the room together.

The simple romans shades here look like one, but there are 3 there. This way they can control the light from outside more effectively.
