Day 150: It's Breakfast Time!

Breakfast nooks are charming and inviting. They can be placed in a bay window or in the open corner of a kitchen.  Do you already have a window seat in another part of the house? Add a cushion, coordinating pillows and pull up a small dining table and chairs. Voila, impromptu breakfast nook! Look at this window seat, we have upholstered cushions and pillows! What a great space for a breakfast nook!

What a great spot for a breakfast nook!

Or do you have an empty corner in your kitchen or living room? No problem. Add a small dining table and a few chairs… Congratulations, you now have a breakfast nook! What do you think of this breakfast nook we have created for our clients?

We have added a small dining table and have paired it with four dining chairs in the corner of our client’s living space.

Breakfast nooks are also a great space to add storage into a home. Storage can usually be found underneath the cushions of a bench. You might have to be a bit handy and add a hinged cover. Thank you theathleticperformance.info and IKEA for this DIY; it makes a great example!

A similar white bench with easy storage underneath the seats is paired with a white contemporary breakfast table and three chairs. Thank you theathleticperformance.info for another example!

Do you have a bench that is open underneath? Easily store items into bins and slide the bins under the bench. A great thank you to the Cottage Journal and Hoffman Media Store for this example!
