DAY 12: Stone Counter Tops!

Gone are the days of laminate counter tops. Everyone wants stone or quartz. Personally, I want STONE! But what kind? Do you go with something exotic or traditional? What suits your style? Remember, you have to live with it every day!

This beauty is Audacia Quartzite. Resistant to chipping, staining, and scratches, quartzite can also withstand heat. This is a popular stone for the kitchen.

Here’s another quartzite I love called Fantasy Blue.

When I look at a slab, I like to bring along the other aspecgts that will be in the room. Here you can see I brought the vanity color, the floor tile and the shower floor tile.

Beautiful soapstone! It does require some maintenance with butchers wax. if you oil it once a month for the first year, it should maintain it’s deep color and the veins will pop with color.

This stone is called Fantasy Brown and works with just about any cabinet color.
