We've helped you with your countertops and backsplash in the kitchen.  Next up is the lighting for over the island.  Lots of things to consider here.  Keep in mind that the kitchen can be a greasy place.  If you are thinking of a fabric shade on a pendant or chandelier, you might want to think again.  Glass shades are easier to clean.  Check out these ideas.  Which is your favorite?

The Penny Light from Crate and Barrel comes in 2 sizes for a couple of options. It has a nautical look, but could easily go in a modern mountain home, too!

Our client didn’t want to sit at the counter in this cozy kitchen. So we added this table and a pendant similar to the Pottery Barn Farmhouse pendant.

This pendant (Dino 2 light) from Barn Light Electric really adds character to this 200 year old farmhouse. I wish I had a better shot of it!
